Implementation of CDMA receiver using Recursive Digital Matched Filter

چکیده
Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) is a multiple access technique widely used in cellular and military communication systems. In Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) communications, data samples are embedded inside Pseudo Noise code (PN code) prior to transmission. Synchronization of this unique code with the incoming data samples forms an important step in data recovery. Single Dwell Serial Search (SDSS) and Matched Filtering are some of types of the CDMA code synchronization techniques. This paper presents design and implementation of Recursive Digital Matched Filter (RDMF) for code synchronization in CDMA. From design summary, it is observed that with RDMF, lesser hardware is utilized compared to the conventional methods. And also, a modification in despreading steps is proposed for achieving reduced Bit Error Rate (BER) performance

Adaptive Multiple-Antenna Receiver for CDMA Mobile Reception
This paper examines the utilization of multiple antennas for Direct-Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) mobile communications at the mobile receiver. A linear singleuser multiple-antenna receiver is derived and its performance is compared with that of the conventional matched filter. An adaptive implementation of the receiver is also considered. The results show that the multiple-a...

The joint detection of multiple signal streams, usually transmitted using code division multiple access (CDMA), can give much better performance than conventional matched-filter methods. Receivers designed using this idea are generically known as multiuser detectors. Our work in this area has included the development of a recursive chip-rate detector that gives linear minimum mean squared error...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of ZF Pre-Coder and Extended Joint Channel Estimation Method in Downlink CDMA with HPA
In the down link scenario of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, multi user detectors (MUDs) such as linear de-correlating detector (LDDs) provide satisfactory symbol error rates (SERs) at the expense of much increased complexity, they require all active users’ spreading sequences, which is impractical from privacy point of view. To overcome this impracticality, a simple matched filte...

In this paper, we propose smart step closed-loop power control (SSPC) algorithm and base station assignment based on minimizing the transmitter power (BSAMTP) technique in a direct sequence-code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) receiver in the presence of frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. This receiver consists of three stages. In the first stage, with conjugate gradient (CG) adaptive ...

Adaptive multiple-antenna receivers can provide insensitivity to the interfering powers and room for more users or they require smaller number of antennas compared to the matched filter solution. In this paper, pipelined implementation of an adaptive DirectSequence Code Division Multiple Access receiver is proposed when multiple antennas are utilized for mobile communications. A number of appro...
